Inside the Numbers: How Aitana Bonmatí Dominated the 2023 FIFA World Cup

In this project, I used Python and StatsBomb event data to analyze Aitana Bonmatí's performance in the 2023 FIFA World Cup. I explored her contribution to the attack and the midfield, her genius playmaking, shot and xG patterns, and her overall performance. Visualizations and data storytelling reveal how she deserved the Golden Ball Award.
